26-year-old Xiao Qing hadn’t seen her husband for nearly six months, but their date and passionate night ended horribly. Xiao was rushed to hospital in the capital of Hunan province in central China with severe abdominal pain, thesun.co.uk reported. She almost died during sex due to ovarian cyst. The rupture of the cyst caused internal bleeding.
No one is safe from it
Tests revealed that the cyst had ruptured and the woman had lost about 40 percent of her blood. According to the NHS, an ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that forms in a woman’s ovary. Most cysts occur naturally and disappear within a few months without the need for treatment. Xiao didn’t even know she had one.
Huang Wei, a doctor at Hunan Provincial Hospital, said: “If the woman had come even a little later, her life would have been in serious danger.”
The ovaries are two small bean-shaped organs that are part of the female reproductive system.
Ovaries secrete the female hormones estrogen and progesterone, and every 28 days they develop eggs as part of the menstrual cycle. Ovarian cysts usually only cause symptoms if they rupture, are very large, or interfere with the blood supply to the ovaries. Cysts can cause pelvic pain, pain during intercourse, too frequent bowel movements, heavy or irregular periods, bloating, and can make it difficult to get pregnant.
Xiao Qing said that she and her 28-year-old husband work in different cities and the couple does not have the opportunity to spend much time together, so whenever they meet, they do not miss the opportunity to spend a passionate night together. According to doctors, Xiao will make a full recovery.
