    When Peter James got on the plane to go on vacation to San Antonio, he didn’t think about the sun and sea that awaited him there. The 25-year-old computer engineer thinks about only one thing – how many prostitutes he will manage to sleep with during the trip. He is one of around 3.8 million men in the UK who have paid for sex at some point in their lives. This means that in Great Britain alone, every eighth man has done it, writes mirror.co.uk.

    These statistics are even more shocking when you consider that tens of thousands of prostitutes are victims of human trafficking. In 2017, 1115 women were identified as sex slaves, and the National Crime Agency says this figure is only a small fraction of all victims of human trafficking.

    Although prostitution is legal in the UK, most men do not admit to buying sex. But three men reveal why they do this.

    Peter James, a 25-year-old computer engineer, currently single and living in Bristol, shares his experience. He first paid for sex with a prostitute three years ago while staying in Amsterdam’s Red Light District. “The boys and I went on vacation for the weekend.
