Researchers have discovered that smoking weed before sex may be the key to multiple orgasms. Scientists from the United States have found that marijuana smokers experience orgasms more often and more intensely than non-smokers. According to research, less than 50% of women are able to reach orgasm during sexual intercourse. Researchers believe that weed makes women more relaxed and increases their desire, which increases the likelihood of orgasm.
More than 70 percent of study participants – both men and women – reported increased sexual satisfaction after using marijuana.
The data also showed that the weed helped more than 40% of women achieve multiple orgasms in a row.
“Overall, cannabis use tends to have a positive effect on perceived sexual performance and satisfaction in individuals regardless of gender or age, and cannabis may help reduce gender differences in sexual pleasure,” wrote the study, published in the Journal of Cannabis Research.
The study was based on a survey that looked at the sex and cannabis use habits of 811 participants (aged 18 to 85).
The authors said that the findings should be viewed with caution, as cannabis use may be influenced by the placebo effect.
“These results may be related to mental thinking that cannabis use will increase pleasure due to the assumption of its aphrodisiac properties, rather than a true physiological effect,” they wrote.
“However, the relaxing effects of cannabis may promote increased desire or lower inhibitions, which may contribute to increased sexual activity and satisfaction.”
