The majority, or 77% of infidels, say that the cheating have actually improved their marriage. Two-thirds of lovers say that they have a happy relationship, despite the fact that they play on two fronts.
TheSun writes that only 33% of respondents who have cheated or have ever be cheated on say they have an unhappy relationship. A study of 2,000 people found that women were more likely to say they were still in a happy marriage, compared with 63% of men.
On the other hand, it was men who thought that starting an affair could improve their marriage, and 81% of those respondents said that cheating would be a good idea, compared with 72% of women, which is not a small number.
The survey also revealed that despite the fact that people admitted cheating on their partner, 94% of respondents said they would be outraged if the situation were the opposite, ie if their partner cheated on them.
Jessica Leoni of the dating site Illicit Encounters, which conducted the study, said: “I’m not shocked that happy people are cheating.”
“If you are unhappy, your mind is elsewhere – you will not be able to get involved in the novel. Adulterers don’t want to leave their partners, they just want to get an extra taste in their lives. ”
