According to a survey of 2,000 participants conducted by OnePoll and Pure Romance, 36% of people take specific actions after sex, from more romantic gestures like loving hugs to a slightly more alienating routine like immediately reaching for the phone to check social media. So here are the 10 most common things people do after sex.
10. Social media
The survey found that a whopping 14% of people grab their phone and check their social media profiles right after sex, which is actually pretty interesting. Can you imagine doing something as intimate as sex, only to have your partner turn over on their side and scroll through Instagram right after? It happens, but luckily it’s not the most popular answer.
9. Ordering food
Hey, all physical activity works up an appetite for many of us, so it only makes sense that ordering food is number nine on this list.
8. Cooking
Like I said, sex is basically exercise, and exercise makes you hungry. Sure, ordering pizza or whatever is easier, but nice homemade snacks take it to a whole other level.
7. Deep and meaningful conversation
Apparently, many of us are fascinated by soulful gazing into the eyes of a loved one and philosophical discussions, placing it at number seven on the list.
6. Just lay there and do nothing
I’ll assume it happens when the sex has been mind-blowing and all you can do is sleep until your brain cells start working again and your legs stop shaking.

Have you ever been extremely thirsty after sex? You are not the only one. 48% of respondents reveal that after sex they sip a refreshing drink, because it is clear that sex satisfy one type of thirst, but causes another.

“Netflix and Chill” in reverse? About half of the participants say that after sex they like to enjoy a bit of TV or a movie, which makes perfect sense.
1. Cuddling
Finally, the first thing people do after sex, agreed upon by 74% of respondents, is the progenitor of all post-marital rituals: cuddle!
