One of the interpretations has to do with evolution, no matter how strange it may sound, says glamour.com. According to a recent study published in the Journal of Reproductive Immunology, sperm intake allows a woman to get used to another person’s DNA, making her immune system more adaptable to pregnancy.
Many complications during pregnancy occur precisely because the woman’s body considers the child’s father’s genes to be foreign, so sperm ingested before pregnancy or otherwise entering the body may prove beneficial when planning a pregnancy and during it.
What about men who give oral sex to women?
Men’s desire to give oral pleasure to women may be related to the behavior of our ancestors. A 2013 study published in the journal Evolutionary Psychology explains that men who are with women, who often receive the attention of other men, want to satisfy their partners more often orally.
According to the researchers, the purpose of such behavior is to eliminate mistrust, which in turn protects against competing for sperm, thus allowing the partner to pass on their genes.
True, none of the above explanations reveal why gay couples also like oral sex. This is an example of how behavior develops no matter what we think.
